This policy describes how Lakeland Systems handles information collected through this website and business inquiries. It does not describe how a client’s data will be handled under a separate project agreement.

Information we receive

When you submit an inquiry or email us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, optional business name, and message. Our hosting and form providers may also process technical information, including your IP address, browser information, request times, and pages requested, to deliver and protect the website and detect spam.

Please do not submit passwords, financial account details, health information, or confidential customer records through the inquiry form.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to respond, assess potential projects, communicate about our services, and maintain business records. We use technical information to operate the website, troubleshoot problems, and prevent misuse. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.

Providers and disclosures

Netlify provides website hosting and form processing. Submitted inquiries may be stored in Netlify’s form system and delivered to our Google Workspace email account. These providers process information to support those services. Fonts are hosted with the website.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights and the security of our systems. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently install analytics or advertising trackers, or set cookies through its own application code. Hosting and security services may process request information as described above. If we introduce additional tracking technologies, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.

Retention and security

We keep inquiries and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a business relationship, and meet recordkeeping or legal obligations. Retention depends on the nature of the inquiry and whether it becomes a client engagement. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your questions and choices

Email matt@lakelandsystems.com to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required or permitted by applicable law. Your rights depend on the laws that apply to your circumstances.

Other websites and updates

External websites have their own privacy practices. This site is intended for business owners and professionals, not children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
